A Modern Homestead Family Retreat

A design a build for family with a deep appreciation for beauty and the importance of being connected to community and to our environment. The goal from the get go was to create a beautiful space for their family to rest, to work, to play, to grow, to gather. Spaces to be lived in, cultivated and shared with friends and family. Collaborating with our clients to design and build a landscape the was representative to their personalities and goals.

Landscape Features: Site grading work to create a large patio area down from deck with a curving two tiered split granite wall leading down to a large lawn space for play. The two tiers allow for two plantings beds tucking in and softening the hardscaping. The patio is bluestone, with the warmth of a full spectrum coloring. Steps lead through the two walls to connect the two spaces. Stone meets wood in the design and build of a built in cedar hot tub with mahogany decking for extended seating around the tub.
